Teresa Molter, MA (owner)
Teresa’s experience in mathematics ranges from inclusive special education classes through Calculus at the high school level. At the collegiate level, she taught pre-service elementary and middle school teachers how to effectively teach math at the lower levels.
She provides math services to individuals and consults with schools and educational associations to develop plans for student success. Teresa’s forte is the rapport she has with her students. She teaches to the whole student – nurturing and developing the individual by empowering them with the skills they need to be successful. She listens and understands the issues of today’s teens.
With this experience, she has developed curriculum around many of the issues young adults are facing today.
Tricia Verrigni, MA
Tricia Verrigni has10 years of experience teaching middle and elementary school students. She received a Master’s Degree in Reading from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from SUNY College at Buffalo. She is also certified to teach Mathematics to elementary and middle school students through 7th grade. She has had the opportunity to work with several students who had a variety of learning disabilities. Her elementary experience encompasses all subject areas.
Tricia would welcome the opportunity to work with your son/daughter in grades K-6 including in her speciality areas of math or reading comprehension.
Jennifer Rotolo, M.Ed.
Jennifer Rotolo has a strong background in science and has taught high school physics and physical science for the past four years. She has a B.S. in physics from Penn State University and an M.ED in science education from University of Maryland. Jennifer is certified to teach physics 7-12 and also middle grades sciences 6-9. She is patient and caring and enjoys sharing her love of science with others. She has tutored numerous students with varying ability levels.
Jennifer will help your child to develop the problem solving strategies and conceptual understanding required to succeed in their physics, chemistry, or middle school science classes.
Lance Bledsoe, M.Ed.
Lance is currently a high school math teacher. He has been tutoring students in math since college. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, and his Master of Arts in Education from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. He is an NC certified math teacher and has worked with students from middle school thru college in virtually all math subjects from pre-Algebra thru Calculus.
Libby Bucholz, Ph.D
Libby has a strong background in the physical and biological sciences. She received her Ph.D. from Duke University in 2008 in Biomedical Engineering and her Bachelors of Science in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in Bioengineering in 2002. Libby started tutoring in high school and continued throughout college and into graduate school. She enjoys sharing her love of science and math with others and develops an individual plan for each student that caters to their own learning style. She works to improve the student's confidence of the subject material by enhancing their problem solving skills.
Libby is able to work with your son/daughter in middle school science, high school math, Chemistry and Physics.
Wanda Hedgepeth, M.Ed.
Wanda has 30 years experience teaching both Elementary and Middle School students. She received a Master's Degree in Education from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Wanda has taught all core elementary subjects as well as Literature, Writing, English and elective studies in Middle School. She has taught students at many different reading levels and abilities. Wanda is also certified to teach the Academically Gifted student.
Wanda welcomes the opportunity to work with your child on a one-on-one basis to help him/her excel in school.
Julie Pendleton, M.Ed.
Julie has been an educator for over twenty years. She has a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Spanish from Plattsburgh State University and a Masters in Education from The College of St. Rose. She has experience in Elementary Education, Spanish, English and ESL. She has been an elementary teacher, department chair at the high school level as well as a college instructor. Her teaching style is creative and positive within a structured and nurturing environmnet. Julie has also taught Theater, Voice and Study Skills.
Julie welcomes the opportunity to work with children and adults in any level of Spanish, ESL and English/Language Arts.
Stephen Scriber, MA
Stephen has strong experience teaching English and Social Studies to middle school and high school students. Moreover, he enjoys working with students and sharing his love of learning with young minds.
Stephen received a B.A. in Political Science and History from Amherst College and a M.A in Curriculum and Instruction in Secondary English Education from the University of Mississippi. He spent two years teaching high school in critical needs districts, with additional experience teaching summer school and tutoring ESL students. He is currently certified to teach English and Social Students to grades 7-12, with AP certification in both areas.
Stephen will help your child succeeded in both basic and advanced 7-12 English and Social Studies courses.
Penny Shumaker Jeffrey, Ph.D.
Penny is an educator with over 10 years experience teaching Biology and Nutrition within the NC Community College, UNC system, and private colleges in both NC and WV. She has also assisted in training NC public school teachers about biodiversity, ecology and evolution. She earned an M.S. degree in Nutrition from North Carolina State University and is currently finishing her PhD in Science Education.
Penny knows that students must connect with the information in order to effectively learn it; memorization will only get a student so far in their educational journey. She has experienced the ‘light bulb moment’ first hand and wants the student to be able to do the same. She will use her knowledge in science education, educational psychology, and effective study strategies to guide the student toward learning course content more thoroughly by connecting with and understanding the material.
Bhavin Trivedi
Bhavin is currently a senior at North Carolina State University studying Microbiology and Biotechnology. He has a strong background in life sciences, physical sciences, and middle/high-school mathematics. Bhavin has tutored in a wide variety of settings including college athletes, high-school after school programs, and in-home tutoring. He understands that every student is unique; a custom, hand-crafted approach to each individual is required to receive the anticipated results. Bhavin looks forward to assisting your child with any life science, physical science, and mathematics help.
Cynthia Cudaback, Ph.D.
Cynthia taught interdisciplinary science at North Carolina State University for five years, where students praised her enthusiasm. She has a BA in physics from the University of California, Berkeley and a PhD in Geophysics from the University of Washington in Seattle. She has brought science presentations to elementary and middle school students, and received very positive reviews. She is eager to work more with high school students, and can be especially helpful to students preparing for college. Her particular passion is scientific literacy, providing students with the scientific tools they need to make decisions affecting our society and planet. Cynthia would be honored to share her love of learning with your child.
